Magic bots - they are sometimes not alive in client? #381

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Add bot (in my case, orbitbot without test item)
2. Use a script that changes player's and bot's positions (My switch script in
this case)
3. When the script changes their positions, they may be somewhere else on
server than on client. They don't loose health when I shoot at them, and when I
crash into them, client prediction fails to guess the speed of my ship. Maybe
all of this is because the bot wasn't moving?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Bitfighter 019 ddc02c661b7d

Indeed, moving bots (s_bot) work fine when they change position

To be clear, I am talking about a levelgen changing player's and bot's
positions, sorry!
