installation on supported SONY PCG-C1VE #146

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. boot from install CD (android-x86-1.6-r2.iso)
2. choose Live CD - Run Android-x86 without installation (WESA mode)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Installation on supported device schould proceed
BUT
Installation stops with the message:
"loading kernel"
'loading initrd.img"
microcode: no support for this CPU vendor
IO APIC rosources could be not be allocated
"Detecting Android-x86......" 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
SONY Vaio PCG-C1VE, winXP

Please provide any additional information below.

I have the same issue running a really old toshiba portege p2000 p3 laptop, i 
am booting the setup through PXE and get the exact same error, any ideas?

to get past the endless Detecting... I had to use unetbootin to create a USB 
stick of the ISO, then I boot off the CD and the kernel finds the USB and 
continues. For me I think the CD could not find itself to mount.
