Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run LiveCD
2. Select Install on hard disk menu item
3. Create bootable Linux partition and install froyo on partition

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When you select ext3, it cannot mount /dev/sda1, and rejects formatting

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
froyo-generic-20110101 on VirtualBox 3.6.1/Linux Ubuntu 10.04

Please provide any additional information below.
ext2 does not work also. Formatting with fat32 works but it cannot boot on this
virtual HD in this case

I'm experiencing the exact same issue. I'm using the recently released
froyo-generic-20110101.iso image.

Ditto, both in VirtualBox and on an Intel Atom platform with a SATA disk (ICH
controller)

mke2fs appears to be bailing out with: clock_gettime(MONOTONIC) failed

If you boot into something else, make and format the partition, then go back to
the android-x86 installer, it works.
