Freeze at install #249

I copied android-x86-2.2-generic.iso on my harddisk and tried to load the 
kernel and initrd.img in grub (because I got a FSC Lifebook B2175 and it doesnt 
support usb boot) but it freezes at "Detecting Android-x86....[...]"

Host System is Ubuntu 10.10

this problem can also be reproduced on a Dell Optiplex 980

SATA controller / SATA HDD
icore5
4GB RAM
nvidia video (according to linux OpenGL it's detected via 2.1 Mesa 7.10.2, as a 
Gallium 0.4 on NVA3)

i booted 2.2 x86 generic iso, and it was unable to past the detection sequence 
after reading [sda], it just gets stuck on like 10 lines of 
dots............................................................................

i had to end it manually, it wont stop or abort

i'll assume it has problem detecting either the Video or the SATA HDD
