I would very much appreciate being able to use my multitouch screen with on my
t91mt.

This would be a great great match for the t91mt (or any netbook tablet).
windows 7 is
just a touch too slow. Android should be way more responsive for the hardware.
Is it
possible to get an ETA on when this might be fixed?

Is eGalax hid touch screen compiled with android linux kernel already? I think
the
eGalax needs to be compile in linux kernel to work properly.
Please see this posting.

I'd like to know if there is any progress done on this issue as well. Without

usb i can connect to wifi and bluetooth. the touchscreen is also working - but

Based on some discussion in the Google Group, I think this might be fixed. I'm
on a T101MT, will shoot to get android booting this week and see how things
stand.

I installed 2.2 this morning and the asuseee iso wouldn't boot, the asus
netbook/tablet would boot but didn't register the touchscreen. I installed
1.6-r2 and It installed and the touchscreen seems to register my touch but I
can't click or drag anything. It just reacts by revealing the notification bar
handle at the top of the screen but I can't interact with that either

If touch screen works in Ubuntu Maverick I don't see why it can't be made to
work on Android?
Please, I'm so looking forward to thrashing win7.

I have installed in on an Asus ep121 which has pen and touch interface. I
finally succeeded to use my pen when I understand that the pointer needs to be
catched by the pen. To be clearer, I need to put the pen on the pointer, then
drag it. If I put my pen in another position, I can drag it, but there is an
offset. To solve this issue, you should detect where is the pen and initialize
the position of the cursor in that position.
This explains the problem with the touch. When you put your finger somewhere, it is equivalent to clicking in that position, and even if you dray from that position, you can not move the pointer, because you are touching. When the pen, or a mouse, it is different, you can move the cursor by hovering it. No possible hovering with touch.
I succeeded to touch by moving the cursor in the good position with the pen,
then touching with my finger.
So if it is possible, detect where we touch with the finger or hover with the pen, and first move the cursor in that position. Then if we move finger or pen, follow it. But do not follow from the wrong position.
Hope it will help you to improve the x86android.

I have continued my tests with the generic iso in virtualbox.
In fact it works, the cursor comes where is the finger or the pen 3 times over 4, but the last one it moves but only changing the x or the y coordinate, and not both. Then after, the missed offset is definitively lost until I force calibration by moving my pen to block the cursor near an edge of the screen to help me to have the pen and the cursor at the same position. Touch has the same behavior.

seems to be working on 2.3 (gingerbread) on my t91mt with the caveat that i had
to hack my init to not setup tslib. despite the lacking calibration, touch
appears to work perfectly aside from this minor workaround.
has anybody here had the time to try out a 2.3 build and corroborate my
findings?

I'm using the build from 13.09.2011
[http://android-x86.moonman.dk/files/old/eeepc_old/eeepc-20110913.iso] on Asus
T91MT (I think its same as the build from 29.08.2011) and touchscreen works
100% correctly. But in Android 3.2 it works like a big touchpad (This bug
reported here http://code.google.com/p/android-x86/issues/detail?id=392).
Android 2.3 use hid-mosart driver, but 3.2 - hid-multitouch. Also Xubuntu 11.04
use hid-multitouch and works right.

working at all. Am I making any mistakes, is there additional software I have
