This new version of things requires you to build the JS necessary for the widget. That can be fixed in a different issue/PR. I want to get this into main so we can start working on extending what has been done with the traceplot to other "dashboard-y" stuff

In favour of moving fast and breaking stuff in these early stages. So feel free to auto-merge, this and other PRs if that helps you to advance the project.
