Can you give a bit more detail on this? Are you thinking of something like an example upstart script?

I got this request from Nicolas from HackHitchin. I think he meant just a simple way to automatically start the script when computer starts maybe somewhere in the wiki.

Well, that would all depend on what the user was starting, I guess. By which I mean that there is no one predefined script that we could place in init.d/ or init/ that would satisfy all users.

I think this idea of a daemon is also related to issues #11 and #12, in that case - I think we need to have a service that we can start which will do the management of individual devices on our behalf.

I guess we're talking about a *nix version of the windows client (or most of it, anyhow)…
