One thing I didn't get about Pijul (which seems to be a pretty promising approach to VCS - in case you've not stumbled over it before) - is that they seem to be aiming to more or less emulate the Git workflow (when the main developer himself argues that the backend offers far smoother ones... :/ ).

@SeanScherer What are the smoother workflows? I personally think the Git patch-oriented workflow is mostly fine; it's just that Git itself provides poor tools for managing its patches.
