Not sure what support QSH offers. There's a tput but it doesn't seem to know anything about terminals. (Huh?)

The reverse is important too.. device descriptions (DEVD) and workstation customization objects (WSCST) for xterm, etc.

Basic research into this has been started in the gist "research into creating workstation customization objects from termcap (xterm, etc) entries."
