I was actually thinking about this now that we've got hiding rules. I think the way I would like to implement this would be to have a checkbox to the left or right of the label (default unchecked) that controls whether something should be forced hidden.

Sometimes there's a person behind a mask. Othertimes a boss monster has a scary special ability that isn't yet ready to be triggered. And sometimes you just don't want to render the entire Effect of something like Double Ranged Attack:
Adding some sort of magic string such as <-- HIDEFROMCHAT --> or similar would allow a user to control this behavior. If we implement it as an HTML-style tag, they could even do it on only bits of content.
This tag would only be visible in the Editor, and wouldn't be rendered elsewhere.
