Sector Board Liaison- VISTA Volunteer Who We Are:\nCentral Iowa Works
(CIW) is

helped to facilitate the creation of Workforce Sector Boards- groups of

technology). Now;; as the Workforce Sector Boards begin to analyze the job
market and
develop the means to address issues;; there is a significant need for capacity
growth
in data collection;; community network building and policy related research to
support sector efforts.\n\nPosition Summary:\nThe Sector Board Liaison will: 1)
Build
Sector Board capacity through research and evaluation. This will include
collecting
analyzing and synthesizing information about the job market;; economy and
legislative
changes occurring nationally and in Iowa;; specifically information that will
have a
potential affect on employment issues. 2) Work with local organizations to
bring them
online for reporting data requirements for the National Fund. 3) Create new
career
pathways to identify service gaps for Sector Boards.\n\nSkills and
Qualifications:\n?
College degree or demonstrated work history in relevant field (i.e. finance;;
business;; management;; human services;; marketing;; public relations;;
communications;; community development;; social work;; etc.) \n?Experience
working
with diverse groups of people to include low-income individuals;; refugee
populations;; minorities;; ex-offenders\n?Ability to learn or current knowledge
of
issues affecting low-income families\n?Strong communication skills (written and
oral)\n?Personal computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft
programs\n?Experience
in coordinating projects; excellent organizational skills\n?Good listening

these are still important, but moving out from 1.5 i.e. super nice to have
for 1.5 but not necessarily realistic

actually, I got it: this is a timezone issue, i.e. we're presuming that these
are
GMT/UTC when they're actually some timezone in the US.
