nice process priority doesn't work #122

Hi all.

I'm running two full cpu-bound processes on my raspberry, reniced one of them to 19 but they still get ~50% of cpu each (according to top).

wheezy-beta 2012-06-18, kernel Linux raspberrypi 3.1.9+ #125 PREEMPT Sun Jun 17 16:09:36 BST 2012 armv6l GNU/Linux.

updated to kernel Linux raspberrypi 3.1.9+ #162 PREEMPT Thu Jul 12 12:01:22 BST 2012 armv6l GNU/Linux (... sorry, I should do this before). Same processes, same nice values, getting 25% - 75% of cpu usage. Not optimal, but a lot better.

This issue is better directed to raspberrypi/linux, or maybe going via the forums for discussion first to better understand the problem.
