Ticket raised last week - in order to increase the size of data disk we need to shut it down and start it back up. we could not start the machine back up. it was part of a cluster fortunately - it took several hours of repeated attempts to start the VM. if it would have been a single machine - we would have had a downtime. this is unacceptable level of support. RCA on why that happened. very dissatisfied based on the fact that we do not know if we would be able to start back an azure VM.

RCA needed in next two days.
It will be helpful to know in advance if we are running into capacity issue. there is a ticket nummber - Amar to follow up.

if the capacity is not available , the action should not be available itself. so that the cusotmer cannot initiate the resize.

Pim suggested that I should open a pulse feedback item for a way to determine the capacity for combination of compute and storage.
