“could not connect to netflix addon repository” #677

Open hl2jeep opened 5 years ago

hl2jeep commented 5 years ago

i am trying to install netflix on a raspberry pi 3b+ with this guide https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/netflix-amazon-video-plex-raspberry-pi/ but it didn’t work and i got the “cannot connect to repository” message. i realised that the guide told you to downgrade osmc but even when i tried it in a brand spanking new install whit no downgrading it did not work. more info: i don’t think that it’s beacuse i’m in a not working county but still i’m in the uk,england

I reproduce, using LibreElec Leia amd64

hl2jeep commented 5 years ago

i fixed it by downloading this master and putting it into the recovery directory of NOOBS, i just installed it without the repository p.s the tutorial said to download some of the required files and i did do that so it worked when i didn’t use the repo

Well, the whole of https://johtru.com is unreachable from anywhere I tried - I guess we have a root cause...

I am in India ,Have the same issue, Netflix was working till last month, I started getting "Netflix error check log for error", tried to reinstall. Downloaded the Netflix addon repository , now I start getting error " Could not connect to repository". Please provide me the solution around this .

scottbarnesg commented 5 years ago

Reproduced both issues discussed in this feed, using repository 1.0.1 and plugin 0.13.23.

Same here.

RusselRillema commented 4 years ago

I have the same issue. Anyone have any luck solving this?

scottbarnesg commented 4 years ago

Re-posting the solution from #675 here, since people are still having issues.

This issue is caused by the repo no longer being actively supported.

I resolved this issue by moving to https://github.com/CastagnaIT/plugin.video.netflix. Its a fork of this repo that is actively supported and is working for me.

I am not a developer on either of these, so please reach out to their owners if you have issues.
