Description

Hello, is it possible to open the preview in a separate window or tab so that it takes up the full screen instead of being "left", "right", "up", "down" (default: "right")?

Yes it is possible to do this. You don't want two panes in this case. You want two tabs (like Chrome) and you can cycle through the tabs using Cmd+Shift+] - the same key stroke used to cycle through Chrome tabs. You can merge the pane by dragging it with a mouse to the other pane.
