It would streamline the installation process to add these packages to an Ubuntu repo so the user could install with apt.

Hello I managed to install following the instructions relatively easily. I set up my Ubuntu user to not require a login I set up the loch screen to not lock I added the command sh -c "cd ~/src/edus2; ./EDUS2_wrapper.sh" to a new startup entry in the Startup Applications and it starts automatically on boot.

Thanks for your interest. I hope your simulator is working well.

Yes, it is fairly simple to set up. Some people are not comfortable with the command line procedure for installs. An Ubunutu package would make things even simpler for people!
