Zoom in/out could be something that is available also in simple mode #78

if I remember it was something that was in advance mode.

I do not think that it is a good idea for simple mode. Indeed the current solution of fitting the largest line works well, and has the strong advantage to only require a scroll in one direction. I think that it is one of the success of VPL1 as well.
