hourglass-win32 cannot work #37

What steps will reproduce the problem?
I don't know.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I want to emulate Windows Syobon Action but failed.

What version of Hourglass are you using? Did the problem happen in older
versions too?
Hourglass -r81  Yes. Also happened in Hourglass -r71.

Which game are you running and which version is it?
Windows Syobon Action v0.81

Which version of Windows are you running?
Windows 8

I have the same problem. It is recreate-able by trying to use hourglass in 
windows 8, especially 64 bit. I am instead trying to do cave story, but the 
issue remains the same. The closest I have been able to get it to working was a 
black screen where the game ran and didn't crash, but mostly it crashes 
immediately. I used the reccomended settings shown in the game compatibility, 
but the problem still occured. In my case, however, I have not tried r71 or any 
other version.
