Fix: Standardize styles, review theme and colors

Assess and standardize:

• Checkboxes
• Buttons
• Colors (some of the name need to be more generic)
• Heading sizes and fontweights
• transitions when the sidebar opens
• Style var names

There's also a problem with the colors we're using - color contrast is failing accessibility check in lighthouse
