Determine hinge size/spacing based on a desired bend radius. I think this will depend on the material you're using so it may require some empirical data to accomplish.

Short list of material bendability, still need to find mdf and wood. Might be related to thickness but more likely material inside a square inch. Air effectively makes elasticity much much larger.
