Isn't that for two steps authentication only?
@austinv11 As @harianus asked, this workaround is for two steps auth.

If the user chooses to Disable "Access for less secure apps", it will raise a "wrong password" error in Mail Notifr.
A temporary solution is updating document to ask user to choose "enable"
