ZAP shows up an error #1574

I am using ZAP 2.3.1 on Windows 8.1 with Mozilla Firefox 36.0 browser

When I connect to proxy through my browser, Whatever the URL I type-in , It
shows this error -

ZAP Error [java.net.SocketException]: Permission denied: connect

I reinstalled entire zap software but it was of no use. This problem started
after updating Java. But I don't think both are related.

How can I solve this problem?

When using your browser without ZAP, do you need to connect through another
proxy?
If so have you configured ZAP with the details of that proxy?
