OS Map crashes #51

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I'm getting the usual crash in HCE after compiling an OS map with memory
upgrades.

To reproduce:
1. Have any scenario and create the project yellow and project yellow global
tags
2. Compile with (This is what im using) OS_toolbeta build-cac
he-file-ex "HMT" true true true HMT\Levels\powerhouse\HMT_Powerhouse
3. Load halo, and BOOM, Soon as you go into the map it exceptions.

This is on windows 7, HCE 1.09.

Xfire's process is closed, before you ask.

We need the exception details from the windows error report to debug a crash.
It would also be useful if you have a map we can use to reproduce the issue
ourselves.

Windows error reporting doesn't come up.
Is it okay if I email you the .map? I dont want anyone but the people debugging
the crash to see the map, its sorta private.

What version of OS do you have installed? You are using OS_toolbeta, which is
not part of the OS release and should not be used.

If you have v3.0.3 installed, use OS_tool to compile your map without using mod
data sets. Unless you are making a lot of maps (single player) you should not
use mod data sets.

Also, if you are not exceeding the stock tag count, and are not using any OS
only script commands, you do not need to use the memory upgrades.

OS_tool build-cache-file-ex "" false false false
HMT\Levels\powerhouse\HMT_Powerhouse

I have v3.0.3 (Version shown in halo), but OS_tool is not present in the haloce
directory.
It is still not present after re-downloading from here and installing.
I am exceeding the stock tag count, and do use OS only script commands, so I
need it.
