Why are you installing OS -before- installing the 1.09 update?
Also, the current version of OS is 3.0.3.
Windows 7 and later have the exception details stored somewhere in the Action
Center, under Problems and Reports if I recall correctly.

You didn't answer the first part of my reply: why were you running/installing
the 1.09 update -after- you installed OS?

Looks like issue 45 (Crash when using an integrated GFX chip that doesn't
support hardware transforms), which should be fixed in 3.1 (revision
15209e0ef7c4027ae1463321294ea1e661718253 (329))

Kornman: I was using 1.8, I don't play online so I never bothered to update
until I saw that it was a requisite for OS.
FireScythe: Thanks... does this mean I have to build OS from the source?

The next release of OS is scheduled for the Jan 20th so if you can wait a
couple more days that should set you right.
