on line 60 of gui.py, there is a syntax error on my machine atleast.
I dont know how to use Qt in pyhton but what I got through googling is instead of exit, discard is used. (if it matters) though I tried replacing exit with discard it didn't worked.
Also, Qtgui is not used may be like in the second image from sourceforge.net
