Open ashleygoh1 opened 2 months ago

ashleygoh1 commented 2 months ago

steps to reproduce:
view A1111111A

expected:
the list will be filtered

actual:
list not filter, result display box show the view

as the UG wrote "Shows the detailed information of the student with..."

reader might not know how the detailed information will be presented. i thought the list will be filtered and user information will be shown on the student list.

Team's Response

Thanks for the feedback. We will consider making it more clear that the updated information will be shown in the result box. We decided on very low because the issue of where the information should be shown is more of a cosmetic one.

Items for the Tester to Verify

 Issue response

Team chose [response.NotInScope]

Reason for disagreement: [replace this with your explanation]

## Issue severity Team chose [`severity.VeryLow`] Originally [`severity.Low`] - [x] I disagree **Reason for disagreement:** Hello Team, I find that this issue is not just simply a cosmetic issue, the definition of cosmetic issues is: A flaw does not affect usage (a typo/spacing/layout/color/font issues in the docs or the UI that doesn't affect usage) However, this is not typo/spacing/layout/color/font issues, the lack of a image or a sentence to explain where the View command results would be displayed leads me, as a User, confused as to how the command functions. I believe it qualifies for low because it is a flaw that is unlikely to affect normal operations of the product and appears only in very rare situations and causes a minor inconvenience only. When I ran the command, I was genuinely confused as there seemed to be no visual/physical changes, except a very subtle response in the result box, which is easily overlooked as all commands will return a response in the result box For further clarity, I believe the UG should specify that the View command will only return something in the result box, instead of assuming that users will understand where the result is shown
