hey guys, i'm gonna do lectures 1 and 2 from the MIT courseware tonight. where are ya'll at?

I actually just took CSOR4231 in the spring at Columbia (hence the lecture notes I uploaded) so I'm pretty fresh on this stuff. I just love the idea of having conversations around it with all of you!

@ashleygwilliams which year of the MIT courseware are you gonna roll with?

It was great, but I had really wished I had a study group to discuss the problems with. Also: the early material is super dry; Big-O, sorts, and recurrence relations simply do not leave much to the imagination.

Dynamic programming, Graph Theory, and P/NP are way more interesting when we all get there :smile:
