Alter twitter to encourage higher-quality mentions

As a side-effect of 10pts per Twitter mention, we're starting to mention @hooroo every time we tweet anything. This is good, but the quality of tweets needs to be better.

Suggestions:

• 1/2 pts per mention (good, but not guaranteed quality)
• 10 pts for sharing a link to content on the Hooroo site (quality)

How about using a tracked url-shortener, and giving a point per click into the website? How about 100pts if that ends in a sale?

100% agree. I've been guilty of the odd low quality tweet and definitely see the need for refinements :)

Yeah, me too. This will be a good story to tell at the conference, so I'm glad this has come up.

Sent an email to Michelle.

Looks like for the first run we'll use the shorten gem. Any Tweet with a link pointing to hooroo.com will get moar points and perhaps a new badge based around 'Click Generating', 'Marketing' etc
