Dual license with GPL2? #38

Open pb-jeff-oneill opened 3 years ago

xpdf is dual licensed under either GPL2 or GPL3.

Could you do the same for this project?

Many people prefer GPL2 over GPL3.

Yeah sure I can't remember why I choose only GPL3 for this.

I haven't uploaded pyxpdf wheels for py3.6 and py3.10 also. So will change the license to GPL2 and later then.

Awesome, thank you!

Added pull request for this: https://github.com/ashutoshvarma/pyxpdf/pull/39

Hi Ashutosh, could you please let me know when you expect to be able to update the license here?

I'm looking forward to using your library, but we are not allowed to use GPL3. :(

ashutoshvarma commented 2 years ago

My apologies, I have been quite busy for a while and completely forgot about this. I will try to make a new release by this week with an updated license and hopefully new wheels too.

and thanks for the PR :)

Thank you Ashutosh!

pb-jeff-oneill commented 2 years ago

Hi Ashutosh, would be great if you could get to this soon. :)

Hi @ashutoshvarma, sorry I don't want to be a pain, but I really want to get started using this library.

Could you please approve the pull request?

Alternatively, if you want help with this project, I'd be happy to assist. Feel free to add me.
