This isn't a great idea. (Orient people towards devkitPro official solutions) #2

Can you please not do this. We provide packages through pacman to avoid having mismatched libraries everywhere like this.

Most, if not all of these are available through pacman. If thy're not then submit a PR to https://github.com/devkitPro/pacman-packages

Providing your own packages which conflict is bad for everyone.

@WinterMute I've just moved all my ports to use devkitPro's repository a few days ago. This was maintained back when the official equivalent was a Makefile which I found annoying to maintain and add additional packages to.

WinterMute commented 6 years ago

Awesome.

Yeah, I know, the Makefile thing was just terrible which is why pacman now - it rocks.

Maybe archive this repo now and if there's anything you're missing then please do PR it to the pacman packages repo. Would be much appreciated.

However, while I have no plan of using this repository any longer in production for devkitPro-powered platforms, I cannot rule out using a similar setup for platforms which are not powered by devkitPro yet covered by my porting work. (And yes, I do agree - pacman is much better than my hack!)

I will probably do the following:

Just to ask one last devkitPro-related thing - would it be reasonable to pull request an "nds-zlib" package in pacman? The MegaZeux port for the Nintendo DS relies on the library.

WinterMute commented 5 years ago

@asiekierka nds-zlib package is available now. Sorry I took so long - got reminded in relation to something else recently.

As pretty much everything I work on has been migrated over to devkitPro's Pacman ages ago, I think this repository can be purged. Thank you for your efforts on dkP!
