New Smartthings app #22

Open Littleaton opened 4 years ago

Currently it only looks like the classic app works correctly for the ring alarm.

Classic i can see the ring alarm modes and can change back and forth.

But in the New app, it shows "alarm type" and then the modes of off strobe siren and strobe siren

Id rather see: Disarmed/off Home Armed away.

How can i fix this? or will that be an upcoming update?

Littleaton commented 4 years ago

as it is now, i cannot create a new routine in the classic app to change alarm mode. And the new one cannot do modes, only Location mode.

this is a limitation with the app. it's in my list to update for the new ST app.

Hi, any update on when this might be updated? Samsung has set the sunset date of the classic app to October 2020. It seems like I can change the Ring alarm settings in the new app now but the actual Alarm still shows as the OP stated

Thanks!

Samsung doesn't support custom device types in the new ST application. AFAIK, discussions are going on but no decisions yet. With that said, you can migrate your app to new ST app, and the integration should work. You won't be able to the UI for Ring Alarm 😔

I migrated mine to new application and deleted the old application. I wasn't using the Ring Alarm UI before, so I don't have any impact.

That's true, I just have it controlled mainly with webcore automations

Are the home modes still compatible with this custom DTH?

Thanks
