Copy-pasted tab boxes do not display changes #134

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Create a Tab Box with a few tabs.
2. Select the Tab Box and copy it to the clipboard.
3. Paste a copy of the Tab Box and modify the tab focus (moving the #
symbol to a different tab).
4. Save the file and close it.
5. Reopen the file.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The new copy of the Tab Box looks the same as the old one did -- the
changed tab focus is not displayed. However, if you double-click the new
Tab Box, the display is updated and the changes you made are now visible
(the new tab focus displays properly).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Pencil 1.1-rc2. Windows XP Pro SP3. Firefox 3.5.7.

seems to be a duplicate of #32 I think!?
But type "Defect" of this issue seems to be correct for me instead of "Shape
Enhancement" in #32...

Please look at my comment on #32 as well.

This doesn't seem to the same as #32, because it is possible to create more
tabs on a Tab Box.
But this issue should have a higher priority.
The bug doesn't show up only when copying and pasting but even when you export
the pages to png.
Therefore it's not possible to use this tool in a real work environment without
using a screenshot-tool.

I'm getting exactly the same thing on win 7, latest build.

I agree with comment 2. This bug is preventing me from using this tool in a
real work environment.

I am getting the same thing on win7, Pencil 2.0.5. The active tabs reset even
when you go to other page. I really have to use screenshots and then paste and
crop them in Word.
