Support for proportional venn diagrams? #5

Open hvbakel opened 6 years ago

Thanks for developing a really useful package for quickly intersecting genesets and regions. If possible, one nice addition would be to support scaling of the circles of the venn diagrams to be proportional to the size of the sets.

Thanks @hvbakel for your interest in Intervene. We already have this option in the web version of the tool but we will consider to provide this with the command line too. Thanks!

+1 on this.

Would be just as good to have option to output intersections to a .csv, and then upload this to the web version of the tool, similar to how it is possible with the UpSet and Pairwise modules.

Thanks for a great tool!

+1 for this. Would be great if you could add the support to generate proportional venn diagrams.

magruca commented 4 years ago

+1 as well. Very clean easy to use tool, so thank you for that!

Did the proportional Venn diagram option come in hand for command line? That would be really a great addition for this tool.

I didn't see how to use the web version to generate area proportional bed file intersection venn diagrams. How would this be done? I guess it would be possible to make named lists of regions using bedtools, but this is complicated because the regions in different samples have different extents, and making overlapping regions have the same names would be difficult.

+1 for this. With it this tool would be perfect.

Another +1 it would be great!

Love the tool, thanks!

another +1 on this! we need it so much on the command line!!!

This feature is almost ready and needs some testing. I'll try to get it soon, given the demand. Thanks for using Intervene! :-)

One more +1 to implement this feature!

+1 to add the feature too! :)
