Hacker's Keyboard doesn't show up on Kindle Fire #230

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Install (v1032rc6, from apk) on Kindle Fire (System software v. 6.3)
2.Open program and click on "Configure input methods".
3.Nothing but the standard Kindle keyboard shows up as an input option.
4.Alternate method (Home/Menu/Settings...) doesn't seem to be available, either.

What is the expected behavior? What do you see instead?

What version of Hacker's Keyboard are you using? (See "Debug" section at
the bottom of the app's Settings menu.)
On what phone or tablet?

If applicable, does this affect the 4-row or 5-row layout, or both? Which
language(s)?

Please provide any additional information below.

Did you try the steps described in the FAQ? It's not really supported since
it's a very nonstandard Android device, but people have gotten it working.
