What do you see instead?
A smiley.
What version of Hacker's Keyboard are you using? (See "Debug" section at
the bottom of the app's Settings menu.)
On what phone or tablet?
1.33.1332, Galaxy Nexus
If applicable, does this affect the 4-row or 5-row layout, or both? Which
language(s)?
English, both layouts.
Please provide any additional information below.
The period character is one of the most used characters in the English
language, appearing at the end of every sentence. Smileys are an unnecessary
feature, though apparently enjoyed, but the key is 3 times larger and right
next to the period, resulting in a smiley typed far too often by mistake. The
period could easily be increased to the size of the current smiley key if not
take up that whole space due to how common it is to use. Ditch the smiley key
or make it smaller and many fewer accidental smileys smushed on the end of a
sentence will result.
