Windows 2003 R2 Std x64 SP2
Downloaded namebench-1.3.1-Windows.exe
Double-clicking on the downloaded file and pressing the Extract button,
messagebox with title "Error" displays "namebench.exe could not be executed"
with an OK button below
After zip extraction (via the OS):
This application has failed to start because the applicationb configuration is
incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Make sure the file you downloaded is 5 MB in size and is a complete file by
checking it against the SHA1 checksum. For this file, it is
b33778303d37bb6a2e6fe4861c72390a41f3ab7a. You can do this by downloading a
program called ExactFile (google it for the link). Drop the file in the program
and check to see that the SHA1 checksum matches the one on the download page.
If they are the same and it is still not running, you can use a program such a
7-Zip to extract the files into a directory and run it from there.
I downloaded the file just now and ran it without any problems.

namebench.exe does not seem to want to run on Win XP or Win Server 2003. at
all. the above error is given when trying to run the .exe

Same problem here on WinXP SP3(32-bit). But now runs fine after "Microsoft
Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)" installation:
