DotNetCore.1.0.1-VS2015Tools.Preview2.0.3.exe installation hung, won't repair or uninstall #938

I tried to install Microsoft .NET Core 1.0.1 - VS 2015 Tooling Preview 2 (DotNetCore.1.0.1-VS2015Tools.Preview2.0.3.exe) a while back. The installer progress stalled. After waiting for a long time, I clicked the Cancel button. After waiting for a long time again, I killed the process. Now, I am unable to repair or uninstall it. Attempting to repair gives this:

The log file provided in the link is given below:

dd_DotNetCoreTools__20170110153234.log.txt

The uninstall reports success, but doesn't actually remove it from the Apps & features list. A log file for the uninstall (running from the command line with the /log option) is attached:

SetupLog.txt

This is pretty old news now, and it was apparently pretty rare. I don't think it's relevant any longer, so I'm going to close the issue.
