Hey @aspyct ! Saw you were working on Rpi and MIDI using Python, that's great! I'm also doing a similar project, me developing a sequencer using a touchscreen.

Would you like to get involved in it ? Project is CircleFade, you can check our website :) https://www.circlefade.com/

Thanks! Max

Well that looks great :) While I'm more of a "no screen" kind of guy, I must say that little device looks amazing.

As I said, I don't like screens when I make music, as I see enough of them during the day, being a full time dev. My goal is to build midi tools for the raspberry pi that require little to no interfacing with a screen.

However I'm guessing we could share at least the sequencer component. Have you had a look at what's in here already?

The looper currently take commands via its midi input, but it could be modified to accept input from other sources, like a GUI. Or your GUI could just send midi commands, but then you need a way to access the notes for the piano roll.

Are you looking for something specific?

Hey! Thanks for the quick answer :) Actually my project is an early stage start up, and I'm looking for people to help me build the product. I think the three functionalities you mentioned would be easily integrated into my current build (for now I've focused on the front end using Kivy lib, piano roll is done). If you might be interested can you add me on FB ? It will be easier to explain more in details everything :) https://www.facebook.com/max.circlefade.3
