Login fails when trying to login with a key rather than password #12

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. create SSH sampler
2. Provide user name, hostname/ip_address and path of the key value in password 
column.
3. login fails

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It has to get logged in and execute the commadn

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Jmeter 2.9 .
OS - Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04

Please provide any additional information below.
Not able to login to the machines which are created using a public/private key 
. 
Please help in finding out this issue
