When I press alt+tab to go to home screen it usually bugs out whole computer and only gives a black screen and when I open task manager to close the game it changes my whole computers resolution.

Thank you very much for reporting this issue. Do you have a second device/computer where you can reproduce this as well? We are trying to figure out if this is a problem related to the graphics card / driver or not.

In addition to the question above could you please also do the following steps?

1. debug events

• start AC
• press E, type `/debugevents 2'
• press ALT+TAB
• send me the console output, you can typically find it in %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\AssaultCube\v1.3_ALPHA2\clientlog.txt
• please also indicate which of the lines in the console were printed before and after you pressed ALT+TAB

2. upgrade SDL

• please download the latest version of the SDL library
• copy the SDL2.dll into the bin_win32 folder of your AC installation
• start AC and see if this specific problem with ALT+TAB is gone. Most likely you will experience other problems but nevertheless it is useful to know if this specific problem that you reported would be resolved.
