Dear All

My name is Luiz Augusto, and I am a Computer Science student at the Catholic University of Goiás, Brazil. I am writing to request your permission to use your open-source game, Assault Cube, in my final project. The project has purely academic purposes, and I have chosen your game due to its open-source code and excellent documentation.

As a long-time enthusiast of FPS games, I have always been passionate about gaming and computing. I have played many FPS games, and I have often been frustrated by encountering dishonest players (cheaters). Therefore, I have dedicated myself to understanding how these modifications are made to help educate the community about how these practices harm the community as a whole.

For my final project, I have chosen to pay tribute to everyone who shares my interest by studying this topic, as there is currently no Brazilian work on this subject, and I also don't have the intention to encourage or promote these practices, only to present my knowledge about the subject. and I believe that using your game will be a great opportunity to convey my message.

I assure you that I will not use the game for any commercial purposes, and I will make sure to credit your game appropriately in my work. If you grant me permission, I will ensure that all copyright and intellectual property rights are respected.

Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best regards,

Luiz Augusto.

The development team of this project has - for the most part - always been keen on providing learning opportunities. But we CAN NOT condone you putting any form of cheats and/or exploits or any other form of disrupting techniques accessible to the public. If your paper will only discuss statistics and compare strategies/theories that would be fine, but concrete code, executables or even a description of how to disrupt any part of the regular & intendend gameplay, including possible bugs, glitches or other aspects of the previous, current or future releases that are themselves not the intended gameplay may not be published. We hope you can appreciate our position and wish you all the best in your endeavours!
