MacOS does not allow mouse input by default.

A change in the system settings is necessary:

System Settings -> Security -> Accessibility -> Enable the asterics-are app

On first launch, mac OS might ask automatically.

@benjaminaigner thanks for creating the issue. I changed the title in order to make it easier to find by searching.
