Hardware

Requirement and background

(1) When the power for the instrument panel is removed on ground, or the main power supply switch shut off, the SoftRF shall also go into deep sleep to avoid draining the battery to cutoff level every time the plane is stowed in the hangar. It is too easy to forget shutting down individually the SoftRF manually. Most pilots are used to all instruments (also the ones with backup power) are sensing on the power line and on the flight state to shut down by themselfes (e.g. LX Navigation instruments do that really nicely).

(2) The pilot shall be able to indicate to the SoftRF "remotely", without touching the printed circut button, with a simple ON/OFF switch (not a button) if the user wants it on or off, on ground and during flight.
