[Feature request] get share link #797

This is maybe a special case and not really the main goal of the project.

The problem

But I'm using GDocamlfuse for sharing videos with musicians. My process is:

The process of creating folders and copying files is absolutely perfect ! Thanks to this wonderful project.

But the process of copying the public link from Google Drive UI is a quite long process:

Proposed solution

I'd love to be able to have a command to get the shared link (or an error if the folder is not shared, aka any parent folder is shared):

google-drive-ocamlfuse get-share-link ~/google-drive/Music/foo

Do you think this should be included in this project ? I've no idea whereas the API permit to get this information but it would be amazing for me !

Thanks a lot (and sorry if I'm out of scope)

Thanks for your kind words! Unfortunately, I don't have much time to dedicate to adding new features to this project.

It is a very common use case to create something in Google Drive, then paste the link to it into Google Chat (or many other things). Mr Astrada seems to be saying that he could use some help. Maybe I can find time to create a pull request for this.

This would make my da year :) I'm sharing URLs to drive folders a LOT, and it would make me possible to do the whole process without having to open a web browser, open online google drive app, navigate to the correct folder (probably the longer in the process) and get the sharing link.

Also a way to make a folder shared would be great too.

I figured out how to do it, I just need to find the time. I should be able to just write a Python script to pull the data from a sqlite file and do some useful things with it.
