repeated content blocks on merge args func branch #89

the code in this new branch, mergeargsfunc is a bit cursed but I'm thinking really hard and I don't see how to make it cleaner

anyway trailing code blocs are repeated as you can see running cargo test --workspace

This is abandoned in favor of the refactor which will come but only when I have the time
