Would publishing a new release be of any use in this case?

Hi @astro Well, it is up to you. AFAIKS it does not make sense for users of the crate since there were no actual fixes or enhancements. I was just playing with the sources, learning from them, so I bumped all the stuff to my current rust edition in use.
