After we move out the scripts, we may want to make this a template repo.

Absolutely. The vision has always been for this to be a template repo: https://docs.github.com/en/repositories/creating-and-managing-repositories/creating-a-template-repository.

We'll need LOTS of docs to explain how to use it.
