Editing pass on README.md #43

I tried adding some more information on usage for each of the transfer types, and tried implementing more language from the diagram to make the README more cohesive.

Just aligned with @sunank200 and @phanikumv, and we'll need to update several parts of the docs and code to follow what was agreed. This will be done as part of the milestone 0.3
