Make make_status.py into an actual shell script #2

Thanks! I've been thinking that we should maybe even do away with the script and just have an HTML with javascript, like http://www.astropy.org/affiliated/ - but I don't have time to work on that at the moment.

Nor do, but that sounds good. Would be easy to do with a Handlebars template. Maybe I'll do that at some point soon since I have experience with that and it's pretty easy to port most Jinja to Handlebars.
