@NuriaLorente, Is there any update on this? The finance committee is happy to chat about options. Either here or email to finance@astropy.org.

aragilar commented 2 months ago

Last I heard it's working it's way through University grant processes.

NuriaLorente commented 1 month ago

Hi everyone, the process is moving forward on our side - Daisy Liu will be emailing finance@astropy.org shortly with details and questions. Thanks!

DaisyLiu-AAO commented 1 month ago

Hi, this is Daisy from AAO-MQ. I am assisting Nuria with the Astropy contract and liaising between the MQ grant and contract teams and Astropy. I have sent an email to finance@astropy.org with some questions. Thanks!

jdswinbank commented 1 month ago

Hi @DaisyLiu-AAO — we've been having some technical problems with finance@astropy.org in the last few days. Could you please CC me (address on my profile page) and astropy-finance-committee@googlegroups.com and I'll make sure your mail gets properly acted upon.

DaisyLiu-AAO commented 1 month ago

Sure@jdswinbank I just forwarded my previous email to your email and astropy-finance-committee@googlegroups.com

AnaGabela commented 1 month ago

@jdswinbank when you get to the stage of involving NumFocus let me know so I can follow up on the contracts Thanks

DaisyLiu-AAO commented 1 month ago

@jdswinbank Hi John, I sent you an email checking about W8 form. Looking forward to your advice:)

DaisyLiu-AAO commented 1 month ago

@jdswinbank Hi John, another question, Given the online form has changed, we need to fill in the Project PI Contact and Project PI email. Should they be---- Project Contact name: Astropy Finance Committee ; Project Contact email: finance@astropy.org?

AnaGabela commented 1 month ago

@DaisyLiu-AAO HI! regarding the W8 form (I don't know what your question is) but it should be the W8Ben form if you are not in the US and it should be easy to fill in. For the PI email and contact that is fine when the form goes through they will contact me ask for the specific person from the committee and forward it to John to read through and approve. (at least that one is no big deal). Hope that helps let me know if you need anything else.

DaisyLiu-AAO commented 1 month ago

@AnaGabela Thanks Anna, we will have a look at the form.

Hi all, we have submitted the NumFOCUS form online.

AnaGabela commented 3 weeks ago

@DaisyLiu-AAO Hi! As you can tell from the NumFocus emails we are having a bit a of trouble setting this one up. Would it be possible to set up a meeting with you and/or @NuriaLorente to figure out what your timeline is for this project to see what our next steps would be.

Please suggest some times that work for you (we are on New York time)

DaisyLiu-AAO commented 3 weeks ago

Hi!

Checking in as your COTR. Can you: 1) Give me a short summary of what you've been up to 2) Let me know if there is anything you need that you aren't getting/otherwise need help with.

Thanks!
